Hey love! 🌟 Welcome back to our sacred space, where we rise into our power, rewrite our stories, and become the women we’ve always needed. Today’s post is going to hit home. It’s for you if you’ve ever heard that tiny whisper inside, saying "You’re not enough." If your reflection sometimes echoes doubts about your beauty, worth, or presence, I’ve got something powerful for you. Let’s dive into healing that inner teen girl and rebuilding unshakable confidence from within.
Let’s go back, shall we? Close your eyes and picture yourself at 14 or 15. Where were you? What music defined your soul, who did you strive to impress, what were your dreams and fears? When I was younger, I found myself shushed or overlooked, and even though I laughed it off, it crushed something inside me. Many of my adult struggles stem from that wound, from thinking I had to shrink myself to fit in.
Your inner teen might be subtly steering you through life. Do you second-guess yourself? Downplay your successes? Crave validation while doubting your own wisdom? Feel simultaneous relief and strain when avoiding conflict? Those are signs she’s still wondering, “Am I okay yet? Do you love me yet?”
Bring Her into Your World: Take out a photo from those teen days and place it somewhere special. Each morning, greet her with kindness, acknowledge her struggles and affirm your love.
Let Her Speak: Give her a voice through writing. Spend 10 minutes letting her pour out her heart without judgment, without pressure to fix her, just feeling.
Choose Love Every Time: Whenever insecurities arise, ask, “Is this my inner teen?” Then love her through with gentleness over pressure.
Growing up, I tied my worth to appearance and faced bullying, which numbed my emotional world. It wasn’t until later that I realized it was my inner child reaching for healing. With guidance, I learned to engage her when she appeared, soothe her insecurities, and reignite old joys like crafts and dancing.
This journey of healing and embracing our inner teen isn’t just nurturing her, it’s nurturing you. When you stop betraying yourself for approval, you begin to blossom into the woman you always longed to be.
If something in this post sparked a chord within you, share it with a sister on her healing journey too. Tag me on Instagram, share with me how you’re reconnecting with your inner teen, whether it’s through a photo, a heartfelt letter, or a gentle moment.
Until next time, sending you all the love. 💖
